Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee—Abdulraqeeb Fatah met Sunday with Director of World Food Program (WFP) in Aden.
Discussions focused on action-plans to carry out the WFP's 2019 plan in light of the Strategic Plan endorsed by the WFP Executive Board in its recent meeting held in Rome.
The plan's total cost estimated at $3 billion and 300 million dollar to fund relief and humanitarian projects in Yemen.
Topics relating to early economic recovery, income-generate projects and transferring the funds allocated to WFP's projects through the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) were also touched upon.
For his part, the Director of WFP's Office stated that the WFP is working on projects to be carried out in 2019 to contribute to early recovery and income-generate enterprises and a Unit has been already established in the Office for this purpose.
He also noted that WFP is coordinating now with the CBY about depositing funds in the CBY in Aden.
