Under-Secretary of Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Dr Mansour Bajash met Tuesday with the Kenyan Deputy Foreign Minister Aba Bu Terrah on the sideline of the Sustainable Blue Economy Conference.

Yemeni-Kenyan bilateral ties and cooperation were a central of focus of Bajash's conversations with Terrah.

Bajash briefed Terrah on the situations in Yemen and serious consequences of Iran-backed Houthi militia's coup upon maritime routes in the south of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden which is a common venue between Yemen and the countries of African Horn in general and Kenya in particular.

He also made clear that the legitimate government is a keen peace seeker, committed to peace that based on the three terms of reference.

The Kenyan deputy foreign minister stated that Kenya is willing to further develop relations with Yemen and establish robust partnership in different fields to cope with challenges, mainly countering terrorism.
