The Emirati Red Crescent (ERC) is going to carry out reconstruction projects in the west coast with total coast estimated at 107 million Emirati Dirham (AED).

The ERC organized press conference Saturday in the city of al-Makha, Taiz province to cite the projects it will finance in the west coast.

The Director of Emirati Humanitarian Operations in Yemen Sa'eed Al-Ka'bi stated that the planned projects include repair the Coastal International Highway, maintenance and rehabilitate 43 schools, rehabilitate 13 medical clinics and Motherhood and Childhood Centers, providing thousands of houses with solar energy, digging 58 water well, equip them with pumps, reservoirs and water networks, fishermen also will be provided with equipments.

Al-Ka'bi stated that some 7 million people are expected to benefit from these projects.

Governor of Hodeidah Al-Hassan Tahir highly praised the significant role of the ERC in re-normalizing the situations in the west coast, deeply appreciating the ERC's relief and humanitarian efforts that have been very helpful for the Yemeni people at this difficult time. .
