The Ministry of Human Rights has strongly denounced the malicious genocide committed by Houthi militia yesterday Thursday against civilians in fishing port and the gate of the al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeida and killed 14 people and injured more than 30 others mostly civilians.

"Such malicious crime is dangerous and huge violation to the international humanitarian law and Geneva four accords," said the ministry in a release issued on Friday.

While the ministry points out that this crime is committed intentionally for it coincided the meeting of the UN Security Council and hours before the UN envoy's briefing, it considers it a rude try by Houthis for mixing papers, the release added.
"Since the early hours, we have followed up this crime through our monitors and eyewitnesses who confirmed the crime has been a shelling by a number of canons shells from nearby neighborhoods transferred by Houthis into military barracks …and using them as shelling launching-bud and the Arab Coalition confirmed earlier it did not made any sortie above Hodeida that day," said the ministry.

The ministry called on the international community-led by the UN High Commission for Human Rights- to move quickly to protect citizens, clearly denounce these crimes, pressure Houthi rebel militia to stop its crimes and stopping all forms of violations and crimes against civilians.

The ministry also called the National Committee for Investigating Human Rights Violations Claims to investigate such crimes in accordance with applied rules and procedures to unearth Houthi means.

It confirmed that it monitors and document these violations and provide them to concerned local and regional committees to disclose criminals and bring justice to victims' rights.

The ministry expressed its heartfelt condolences to families of the martyrs and hoped quick recovery to injured and wounded people.
