The Directors of the Yemeni Oil Company kicked off their annual meeting on Wednesday under the sponsorship of Minister of Oil and Minerals Aws al-Awd.

The meeting, which lasts for two days discusses accomplishments of the company in the past and reports on the company's branches, as well as challenges facing the branches in provinces of Aden, Hadhramout, Mareb, Shabwa, Mahra and Taiz.

The meeting aims at identifying the most problems and difficulties facing the company and ways of finding out possible solutions for promoting performance of the company and providing good service to the people through ensuring influx of oil derivatives to the markets and easing people access to them, said Executive Director of the Company Najeeb al-Awj.

He pointed out that the meeting will discuss accomplished and to be accomplished investment projects, including rehabilitating the company's tanks, working on providing oil derivatives in local markets and the stability of the company's situations.

He confirmed the company will carry out a number of investment and development projects next year.
