The Secretary General of Abyan Local Council Mahdi al-Hamed discussed with the Head of the International Organization for Migration's (IOM) Mission Sarat Dash on Saturday ways of expanding the organization's support to important sectors in the Province.

Al-Hamed pointed to destruction left by Houthi war and war with al-Qaeda in the province, praising different support of the IOM to development, relief and humanitarian projects in the province.

The organization has provided and will provide different support to the province for projects of water, agriculture, health, education and other fields, said Dash.

There is a complete matrix of projects in the province require financing for implementation, said Director of Planning and International Cooperation Department WadhahHammas and Director of Agriculture and Irrigation Office Husein al-Haithami.

On the other hand, al-Hamed and Dash made a field visit to the projects carried out by the organization in the solar system and water.

They were briefed by Director of Water and Sanitation in ZunjobarSalehBali'di on the significance of the IOM's support to water pumps.
