The Government has set up professional team work from Ministry of Local Administration and General Secretariat of Council of Ministers to pay field inspection visit to the government-held provinces. The team is tasked with inspecting situations and local authorities' performance with the aim of improving the basic services and peoples' living conditions through empowering local authorities apparatuses and capacities.
Minister of Local Administration Abdulraqeeb Fatah told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the joint team work has already started a field visit to the province of Lahj. The team is set to meet the governor and local authority leadership in order to discus local authority's action, difficulties and basic services requirements. The team shall find out the most important requirements in administrative domain, work on addressing problems, overcome obstacles and upgrade local authorities' performance in the provinces.
" Field-visits would be paid to all government-held provinces to prop up local authorities' efforts and sustain their action in providing basic services", said Fatah.
