[11/07/2018 06:28]

ADEN-SABA
Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr has confirmed that Aden will continue to be a city for peace and co-existence as it remains the economic and trade gate to the Federal Yemen.

In a meeting with elite of participants in the first consultative meeting for the sons and people of Aden and heads of the civil society organizations, he discussed with them key issues concerning the city.

The meeting dealt with service conditions in the transitional capital of Aden and the role of the CSOs, educated people, preachers and others in contribution of raising awareness for the sake of the stability and development in Aden, which witnessed destruction of its infrastructure over Houthi war on the state and the legality.

" Aden has gained concern of the president and the government in the past period and we work on providing services to its inhabitants and all liberated provinces according to available capabilities," he said, adding there are a number of projects are being implemented and will opened soon, including al-Hoswah Power Plant which costs USD 31 million.

He pointed to challenges of resources' scarcity, lack of capabilities and hard currency facing the government, confirming that the government is exerting all efforts for easing difficulties before citizens and has achieved great accomplishment in realizing security and stability in liberated provinces and paid salaries of the government employees regularly.

He added that the government also activated the state's institutions and ministries from the transitional capital of Aden and the future will be better to Aden and all provinces after ending Houthi coup, regaining the state and establishing the federal Yemen agreed upon by Yemenis in the National Dialogue Conference.

He called on sons of Aden in particular and all Yemeni people in general to gather around the constitutional legality represented in President Hadi as a lifeline for making a promising future to all Yemeni people and ending tyranny and injustice suffered by Yemeni people for a long time passed.

He also called for respecting law, order and the state public job and avoiding differences do not serve the interests of the people. He confirmed that dialogue is the ideal way for solving differences and belief in other opinion without exclusion or marginalization.

Building the homeland will start only from Aden, which must regain its civilized citizenship and banning carrying weapons for protecting souls and public and private possessions, discarding violence and extremism with its different shapes through implementing the rule of law.

The attendants praised efforts of the government for providing services to the people of Aden within its national responsibilities and what it has achieved, hoping from all government sectors to make field visits, inspect people needs, taking care of the public image of the city and removing unplanned constructions.

They also demanded including sons of Aden in government's jobs in accordance to the constitution and the outcomes of the national dialogue conference.

They also highlighted a number of issues associated with education, electricity, cleanness, roads and water.

In response to the demands, Prime Minister bin-Daghr directed concerned bodies of carrying out field visits and inspect situations in Aden and other liberated provinces and responding to people's needs.
