Saudi Information Minister Dr Aowad Al-Aowad said " Saudi-led Coalition for supporting legitimacy in Yemen managed to retake above 85% of the Yemeni territories whilst it has been fully committed to rules of engagements and protection of civilians, support the Yemeni people and legitimate government against the terrorist aggressors".

Speaking Saturday at the opening session of the Coalition member states' Information Ministers held in Jeddah, Al-Aowad added" The Coalition has managed to gain significant victories in different fronts, particularly in Sa'ada, stronghold of Houthi putschist militia".

Al-Aowad described ongoing military operations by the legitimate government's troops backed by Arab Coalition forces as a turning point in the war aiming to drive the militia out of the seaport city, retake harbor in order to stop smuggling weapons and prevent threatening marine navigation as well facilitate entry of humanitarian aids.

The Saudi Minister noted that the meeting aimed to review Coalition's media role and efforts over the past and further boost media coordination to counter adversary media.

Chairman of the National Media Council in the United Arab Emirates Dr Sultan Al-Jaberi stated that the meeting came in light of the recent developments in Yemen where the Yemeni troops backed by the Coalition Joint Forces have made very significant advancements with the ongoing combat operations in Hodeida with the aim of getting the seaport city cleared of Houthi militiamen, stop Iranian interference in Yemen and ensure access of humanitarian assistance.

Al-Jaberi argued that Hodeida operation is a game change in the Yemeni crisis that is set to enhance peace chances and press the Houthi militia to sit-down to negotiations.

Al-Jaberi went on saying" Our support for Yemeni legitimacy is support for the Yemeni people against the Houthi militia's coup that illegally takeover power and resources to serve external agendas".

The Information Ministers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Republic of Sudan and Dijbouti all have urged a united media strategy to keep abreast with the political, military, security and humanitarian efforts have been made by the Coalition member states.
