Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee (SRC)—Abdulraqeeb Fatah urged the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) to reinstate its staffs in Yemen and continue its relief and humanitarian activities for the humanitarian circumstances the country has been going through at present, as there is a pressing need for all organizations that operate in relief and humanitarian actions.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Fatah has assured the legitimate government's commitment to all International and Humanitarian Laws and the UN's Conventions about the humanitarian action.

He stated that the government is fully committed to provide any help and assistance may be needed to enable the international organizations doing their mission easily.

The Minister held the Houthi putschist militia accountable for creating obstructions to the organizations' humanitarian actions, disturbing the organizations by abducting the relief and humanitarian workers, intimidating them and meddling in the organizations' activities.

" The rebel militia is solely responsible for discouraging the international organizations given that it is a rebellious group has been violating national and international laws", Fatah said.

The Chairman of the SRC highly applauded significant role played by the ICRC in different Yemeni provinces. He described the IRCR's interventions in several sectors as vitally important, underscoring the need for the continuation of the IRCR's actions that are urgently needed throughout the Yemeni regions.

He said:" The humanitarian situation in Yemen requires joining efforts by all international organizations to help the Yemeni people and support the legitimate government's efforts aiming to provide the citizens with the basic services throughout the Yemeni provinces".
