Prime Minister Ahmed bin Daghr chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday to discuss the latest developments internally and externally and to push forward the development process in the government-held territories.

The Cabinet welcomed the UN Security Council's recent condemnation ofHouthi violations including theballistic missile attacks againstthe government-held territories and the kingdoms of Saudi Arabia.

The Cabinet stressed the need to pressure the rebel militiato comply with the international resolutions concerning Yemen.

He hailed the positions of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia in support of the government in the face of the coup d'état.

He stressed that the government will continue its efforts to normalize daily life in the liberated territories, provide basic services, establish security and combat terrorism in all its forms, stressing the necessity of unity in supporting President Abd-Rabbu M. Hadi'sgovernment.

"We are at a crossroads, so we must unite efforts to confront the conspiracy against the social fabric," he said, noting that the Houthis' dynastical rule project has nothing to do with the interest of the Yemeni people.

The Cabinet discussed a number of topics on its agenda.Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul-Malik Al-Mekhlafi briefed the Cabineton the meetings he and President Hadi had held with the new UN envoy.

He also made the Cabinet aware of the efforts his Ministry had exerted to promote the government's initiatives for settlement with Houthi rebels in line with the three key terms of references.

The Cabinet approved the construction of a 30 megawatt power plant in Abyanprovince and the necessary budget for the project's implementation.
