His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received today, Tuesday, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Yemen Falah al-Mutairi, who handed His Excellency a reply message from His Highness Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, in response to a message that His Excellency had sent to His Highness earlier, delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba.

The President praised the steadfast and sincere stance of the State of Kuwait in support of Yemen, its people, political leadership and national institutions, as well as its backing of Yemen's security, stability, unity and territorial sovereignty.

President al-Alimi also highly praised Kuwait's political role in supporting the Yemeni government in various regional and international forums, greatly appreciating Kuwait's generous humanitarian and development interventions and the significant projects it has carried out over several decades that have left a deep impact on Yemenis' lives.

The President touched on the latest developments on the national scene amid the ongoing military escalation by the Houthi terrorist militias and their military operations and criminal attacks within Yemeni territories, across the border with Saudi Arabia and their threats to international navigation routes in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

Al-Alimi avowed the state's commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the Yemeni people in restoring their national institutions and eliminating the Houthi militias' coup, considering this part of a broader battle to protect the region's security from the chaos projects backed by the Iranian regime.

The Chairman of the PLC reiterated Yemen's condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, considering Kuwait's security an integral part of the security of Yemen and the region.
