The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms said it documented nearly 278,000 crimes and violations committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia against civilians across Yemen between September 2014 and September 2026.

The network’s report documented 19,478 civilian deaths and 42,960 injuries, including women and children, as well as 1,823 deaths and 7,135 injuries caused by landmines.

It also recorded 22,165 cases of abduction, enforced disappearance and torture, with 6,745 civilians still detained in Houthi prisons, including politicians, activists, journalists, women and children.

The report documented 476 deaths from torture, 1,893 cases of physical and psychological torture and 79 deaths caused by medical neglect.

It said Houthi violations also caused extensive damage to homes and civilian infrastructure, including 183,498 homes and 1,397 schools and educational facilities, while millions of children have been deprived of education.

The network said the Houthis operate about 739 prisons and detention facilities, including 357 secret prisons, warning of continued risks linked to enforced disappearance, torture and ill-treatment.
