Four civilians, including three children and a woman, were injured on Friday by sniper fire from the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the al-Kadaha and al-Rahbah areas west of Taiz governorate.

Local sources told Saba that Houthi snipers targeted civilians in residential areas, injuring three members of the same family, including two children, as well as another child and a woman.

The injured were identified as seven-year-old Mahfouz Mahfouz Salem Abdulrazzaq, who was shot in the back; his 13-year-old brother, Noonan Mahfouz Salem Abdulrazzaq, who was shot in the palm of his left hand; and 30-year-old Safaa Mahfouz Salem Abdulrazzaq, who sustained a gunshot wound to the neck. Eight-year-old Turki Hazza Ahmed Hizam was also injured by shrapnel in the jaw.

The Iranian-backed Houthi militia continues to target civilians in residential areas across Taiz governorate through shelling and deliberate sniper attacks, causing civilian deaths and injuries, including among women and children.
