His Excellency President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi has welcomed new Saudi support for the Central Bank of Yemen, describing it as an important boost to the country’s economic reform efforts.

In a post on X, President al-Alimi expressed his appreciation, on behalf of the PLC, the government and the people to Saudi Arabia’s leadership, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their continued support.

He said the new assistance would help stabilize the national currency, improve living conditions and basic services and strengthen confidence in state institutions and Yemen’s broader recovery process.

The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen announced the new support on Thursday, saying it aims to strengthen economic, financial, and monetary stability, enhance purchasing power, stimulate commercial activity, and support sustainable recovery in Yemen.
