The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli escalation in the Gaza Strip and attacks targeting civilians, including women and children, warning that such actions are worsening the humanitarian crisis and undermining efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and advance de-escalation.

In a statement, the ministry also condemned the Israeli government’s decision to advance the E1 settlement plan, which threatens the geographic contiguity between the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem and undermines prospects for establishing an independent Palestinian state.

It described the plan as a blatant violation of international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334.

The ministry stressed that continued Israeli attacks and settlement expansion undermine international efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and de-escalate tensions, while threatening to widen the conflict and instability across the region.

Yemen reaffirmed its steadfast support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to establish an independent state, and called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities to protect civilians, halt violations and settlement expansion, and support efforts to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace.
