The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre’s “MASAM” Project, which works to clear Yemeni territories of mines, removed 2,164 mines during the fourth week of June.

The mines had been planted by the Houthi militias in various governorates.

According to a statement issued by the Centre, the removed explosives included 81 anti-tank mines, 6 anti-personnel mines, 2,072 unexploded ordnance items, and 5 explosive devices. The total number of mines cleared since the beginning of June has reached 6,786.

The number of mines removed since the launch of the “MASAM” Project has now reached 571,125 mines.

These mines were randomly planted across various governorates, threatening the lives of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, and spreading fear among communities.
