Yemen participated on Friday in the Arab-German Business Conference in Berlin, where officials highlighted recent economic developments and opportunities to support the country's recovery and sustainable development efforts.

The Yemeni delegation was led by Ambassador Louay Al-Eryani, who took part in a panel discussion titled "The Road to Economic Recovery and Sustainable Development in Yemen" during the conference organized by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Addressing participants, Ambassador Al-Eryani outlined several positive economic indicators, including the restoration of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the announcement of $250 million in new projects by the World Bank, improvements in the exchange rate of the Yemeni rial, and government efforts to strengthen financial management tools to enhance public services and salary payments.

Also participating in the session was German Ambassador to Yemen, Thomas Schneider, who shared observations from his recent visit to Yemen. He noted that the country's large population makes it a promising market and pointed to future opportunities for cooperation in sectors including agriculture and energy.

The event brought together German business representatives, diplomats and development stakeholders, providing a platform to review Yemen's economic situation and discuss prospects for recovery, investment and sustainable development.
