ADEN-SABA
The Republic of Yemen has strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks against the sisterly states of Kuwait and Bahrain, asserting that the continued targeting of neighboring nations and civilian facilities reflects the Iranian regime’s hostile conduct and its ongoing efforts to destabilize the region.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and received by Saba, Yemen denounced the Iranian strike on Kuwait International Airport, which caused casualties and extensive property damage.
The ministry described the attack as a grave terrorist act against a key civilian installation and a clear breach of international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles governing peaceful relations between states.
The statement further condemned Iran’s repeated attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain, including assaults on civilian sites and actions that endanger the safety of both citizens and residents.
It said these attacks form part of a deliberate pattern of aggression aimed at fueling tensions and spreading instability throughout the region.
The Foreign Ministry affirmed that the deliberate targeting of airports, public infrastructure, and civilian facilities in neighboring countries once again exposes the terrorist character of the Iranian regime.
It noted that Iran employs missiles, drones, armed proxies, and militant groups to advance its destabilizing agenda, posing a serious threat to regional and international peace, as well as to the security of air and maritime navigation.
Yemen reiterated its unwavering solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain and expressed its full support for all measures undertaken by the two countries to preserve their security, stability, and the well-being of their citizens and residents.
The statement also commended the readiness and effectiveness demonstrated by the armed forces and relevant authorities in both nations in confronting these hostile attacks.
The ministry stressed that addressing this continuing threat requires a decisive international response capable of curbing Iran’s aggressive policies and ending its reliance on missiles, drones, proxy forces, and armed militias as instruments for coercion and intimidation against countries of the region, threatening their sovereignty, security, and stability.
