Yemen participated on Tuesday in the Global Partnerships Conference hosted in London, with a delegation headed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Afrah Al-Zouba.

The two-day conference, running from May 19 to 20, brings together leaders, policymakers, and representatives of governments, international institutions, humanitarian and development organizations from around the world to discuss ways to modernize international cooperation frameworks in response to rapidly evolving global challenges.

Participants are also examining ways to strengthen partnerships among governments, the private sector, international financial institutions, civil society organizations, and donor agencies.

During the opening session, speakers from the organizing bodies emphasized the need to move toward a more equitable partnership model based on national ownership, support for countries’ development plans and priorities, and strengthening national institutions as a foundation for sustainable development.
