ADEN - SABA
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi left Aden Sunday heading to Saudi Arabia in his way to Qatar for participation in Doha Summit scheduled Monday.
President al-Alimi is accompanied by council members Major General Sultan al-Aradah and Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi.
The summit will discuss the repercussions of the brutal Israeli aggression against Doha.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), president al-Alimi reiterated the condemnation of the Republic of Yemen for the Israeli aggression, which represents a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and a gross breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
He affirmed the Republic of Yemen's full solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar and its support for its sovereign right to maintain its security and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed confidence that the Doha summit would contribute to achieving its desired goals in confronting Israeli arrogance and threats to Arab national security, and to reaching collective decisions to deter aggression and support the Palestinian people's right to establish their fully sovereign state.
He renewed his appreciation for the efforts of the government, the central bank, and law enforcement authorities, as well as the successes achieved in economic and financial reforms, which have led to a noticeable improvement in the national currency exchange rate and basick goods, and enhanced the independence of the central bank in managing monetary policy.
He also reiterated the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to ensure that the state fulfills its obligations, particularly in the regular payment of employee salaries, improving services, and enhancing the legal status of the state in the temporary capital Aden, in partnership with brothers and friends, which will yield promising breakthroughs in the coming days.
He praised the brotherly positions of the coalition supporting legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and their humanitarian and developmental interventions that have contributed to the cohesion of state institutions and contained the repercussions of the humanitarian crisis exacerbated by the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime on oil facilities and commercial shipping vessels.
