أعلنت المنظمة الدولية للتقييس (ISO) موافقتها على ترقية عضوية اليمن، ممثلة بالهيئة اليمنية للمواصفات والمقاييس وضبط الجودة، إلى عضوية كاملة، وذلك اعتباراً من يوليو 2025م، بعد فترة تعليق استمرت لأكثر من ثمان سنوات نتيجة للأوضاع الاستثنائية التي شهدتها البلاد.

Chief of Staff, head of ICRC in Yemen discuss organization's interventions

Chief of Staff, the Commander of the Joint Military Operations Major General Sagheer bin Aziz discussed with the Head of International Committee of the Red Cross in Yemen Daphnee Maret the humanitarian interventions of the organization and other international organizations in Yemen.
The meeting touched upon situations of abductees and forcibly disappeared people in Houthi terrorist militia's detention cells and the role of ICRC and the humanitarian organizations towards crime and violations committed by the militia.
Bin Aziz reiterated providing different types of support to the organization and cooperating with it to make its tasks successful, pointing out to Houthi terrorist militia's persistence in violating the humanitarian laws and committing crimes against the detainees the militia hold captive in their detention cells committing the most heinous violation against them.
He drew attention to the death of dozens of abductees under torture in the militia's prisons.
He reiterated the commitment of the Yemeni Armed Forces to international law, humanitarian law, and international conventions, based on its commitment to the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen and the applicable laws.
He pointed out the continued recruitment of children by the Houthi terrorist militia for fighting and dragging them to their terrorist wars and operations, as well as their insistence on deepening the humanitarian suffering and relinquishing their obligations and agreements related to the issue of prisoners, abductees, and the disappeared.
The Chief of Staff confirmed necessity of taking deterring and firm positions towards Houthi militia, which hinders all efforts of alleviating crises it imposes on Yemeni people.
