During his participation in a panel discussion within the climate conference currently being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Yemen's Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Buhaibeh, reviewed the effects of climate on health in our country.

Minister Buhaibeh said the health system suffered from many complications, such as scarcity of water and sanitation, poor food security, high temperatures, and the spread of mosquito-borne diseases, which doubled the number of diseases, in addition to the movement of displacement and migration, which represents a continuous burden on the health sector, not to mention rain hurricanes, the most recent of which is Hurricane Tej, and the effects it caused in the eastern governorates of Yemen.
