The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

President Hadi values positions of Omani brothers

President Abd-Rabbo Manousr Hadi has valued positions of Omani officials for supporting Yemen, its security and stability that embodying brotherly relations.

In his meeting with Yemen's Ambassador to Oman Dr. Khaled Shutaif, President Hadi confirmed historical relations between the two countries and coordination in different issues of common concern, including efforts for fighting terrorism through marine and ground outlets.

President Hadi asked Shutaif to covey his best wishes to the Sultan of Oman Qabus bin Saeed and to Omani people.

Ambassador Shutaif pointed to facilitations provided by Omani authorities to Yemenis travelling via the Sultanate and the medical and humanitarian support to Yemeni people in border areas.

Earlier, President Hadi met with Governor of Sa'ada General Tarshan al-Wai'li, who briefed him on latest developments and victories in the warfronts there.

President Hadi valued rules of the governor and tribal and social leaders in Sa'ada for beating Houthi rebel militia.
