emeni-Pakistani humanitarian cooperation explored

ISLAMABAD-SABA
Yemen's ambassador to Islamabad Mohammed Al-Ashbi met Thursday with the Undersecretary of Pakistani Foreign Ministry for External Organizations Affairs, Tasneen Aslum.

At the meeting, Al-Ashbi handed over the Pakistani official a copy of the Humanitarian Response Plan of 2018, which has been endorsed by the Yemeni government and sponsored by Arab Coalition for restoring legitimacy in Yemen. the Humanitarian Response Plan is set to be discussed in the UN next month.

The ambassador briefed the Pakistani official on the difficult humanitarian situations Yemen has been facing because of the war triggered by Houthi militia. He also explained the Yemeni government's efforts aiming to mitigate the peoples' suffering.

The Pakistani official expressed her country's solidarity with Yemen and her sympathy with the Yemeni peoples. She affirmed Pakistani government's support for the Yemeni legitimate government's plan aimed to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.
