Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi has raised with the Maldivian Minister of Fisheries Mohammed Shainee the plight endured by the Yemeni people as a result of the Saleh-Houthi coup d'état in 2014.
Al-Mekhlafi met Shainee on the sideline of the UN General Assembly session in New York on Wednesday.
The Maldivian official confirmed his country's support to the Yemeni state in ending the insurgency of the Saleh-Houthi militas.
