Yemen partakes in the 44th Round of OIC's Council ofForeign Ministers

Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) kicked of activities of the forty-fourth Round of the organization's council here. Yemen participated by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Mansour Bajjash.

In an opening speech for PresidentAlassaneOuattara of Ivory Cost, he highlighted integration of member states for facing problems in the regional countries and on setting up strategies for economic cooperation.

He noted to taking care of youth and protecting them against deviation and destructive ideas to secure stability in their countries, urging on focusing on development and youth while setting up the OIC's 2025 action plan. He emphasized that his country, as member of the United Nation Security Council, will work on contribution on solving differences threatening international security and peace.

A number of ministers delivered speeches in which they focused on taking care of youth and development in the member states to face extremism and misleading idea, as well as fighting terrorism, drying up its sources and boosting toleration values.

The ministers focused in their speeches on increasing humanitarian support to countries suffering from humanitarian crisis, including Syria, Yemen and Somalia.

The round discussed in two-day sessions and under the motto of " Round of Youth, Peace and Development in Integrated World" a number of issues included in the agenda, led by Palestinian Issue, conditions of minorities in the member states, efforts of providing relief and aid support, human rights, environment, food security and the OIC's 2025 Action Plan.

On the sidelines of the round, Deputy Minister Bajjash met with a number of ministers and discussed with them promoting mutual relations and enhancing coordination on regional meetings and international forums.
