The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a military operation on Saturday targeting positions and military capabilities of the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia along several front lines.
Official Armed Forces Spokesman Col. Majed al-Nuzayli said the operation was launched in response to repeated Houthi attacks in Marib and Hadramout that killed and wounded members of the Armed Forces and civilians.
He said the operation demonstrated the unity of command and control across the Armed Forces, stressing that any attack on one front constitutes an attack on all fronts and military formations.
Al-Nuzayli held the Houthi militia and those backing it fully responsible for the continued escalation, affirming that the Armed Forces would not tolerate attacks against civilians, troops, or military positions and would respond with firm military measures in accordance with the directives of the political and military leadership and operational requirements.
He called on citizens and Yemeni tribes to support the Armed Forces and stand with the government in efforts to restore state institutions and ease the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Al-Nuzayli also praised the courage, steadfastness, and discipline of troops across all fronts and paid tribute to those killed while performing their duty, extending condolences to their families and comrades and wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
