The Head of the Central Agency for State Security Major General Muhammad Ayedh discussed Wednesday with the Head of Syrian General Intelligence Service Hussein al-Salama bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the prospects for strengthening and developing them, especially in the field of combating terrorism.
During the meeting, which comes on the sidelines of the fourth high-level conference of heads of counter-terrorism agencies in member states, organized by the United Nations for the current year 2026, a number of issues and developments on the regional scene were discussed, as well as bilateral coordination between the two countries to confront common security challenges, which contributes to enhancing security and stability.
The two sides renewed their keenness to enhance joint cooperation and coordination in the field of combating terrorism, and exchanging experiences and information, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries.
