Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qassem Buhaibeh held talks on Thursday with a World Health Organization (WHO) team headed by WHO Deputy Representative to Yemen Dr. Noha Mahmoud, focusing on efforts to strengthen disease prevention and control programs, improve epidemiological surveillance, and advance follow-up coordination with the World Bank.

The discussions examined support mechanisms for national programs addressing communicable diseases and considered the development of a unified process to track the implementation of recommendations emerging from meetings with the World Bank.

The participants also reviewed feedback received from health facilities and provincial health offices and explored ways to address outstanding issues to improve operational efficiency and enhance the speed of public health interventions.
