The Chargé d’Affaires of Yemen's Embassy in Damascus Mohammed Baaker held talks with Dima Al-Mousa, the Director of the Department of Agreements and Treaties at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on a number of draft bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) scheduled to be signed in the coming period.

EU Ambassador confirms support for government's efforts to improve revenues

The Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Republic of Yemen Patrick Simonnet has confirmed the EU's full support for the Yemeni government's ongoing efforts to improve the revenues through providing the technical assistance.

Speaking today, Wednesday, in the temporary capital Aden, to journalists he said" The new Yemeni government's efforts to normalize the situations and to get the security and military services united have encouraged the EU Mission to operate from inside the country, offer the necessary assistance".

Mr. Simonnet added" We 've commitments and pledges toward the government to support the political and humanitarian process and to contribute toward establishing peace and supporting the UN's efforts".

The EU Ambassador praised the improvement of the situations in the temporary capital Aden, appreciating the significant role of the Yemen Coast Guard in protecting the international navigation and controlling smuggling activities.

He stated that the EU is seeking to mobilize more international support in the coming stage to enable the government doing its jobs.
