Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces issued Saturday Decision No. (57) of 2026.

The first article of the decision stipulates the appointment of Brigadier Bassam Mihdar Ahmed Ali sl-Sanabi as Commander of the Nation Shield Forces, promoting him to the rank of Major General.

Additionally, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces issued Saturday Decision No. (58) of 2026.

The first article of the decision stipulates the appointment of Brigadier Abdulrahman Saleh Hassan l-Lahji as Chief of Staff of the Nation Shield Forces, alongside his duties as Commander of the Fourth Infantry Brigade and promoting him to the rank of Major General.

The second article of both decisions states that they shall come into effect from the date of their issuance and are to be published in the official gazette and military bulletins.
