England 10-man Republic of Ireland 5-0 to sealing promotion to the Nations League top tier.

The French national team defeated its Italian counterpart and snatched the lead of Group B2 of the first level of the European Nations League in football.

France put on a commanding display to defeat Italy 3-1 at the San Siro in Milan.

France raised its tally to 13 points at the end of the group stage, ahead on goal difference of Italy, who won 3-1 at the Parc des Princes last September.

The win means France top the Group A2 standings, but both sides are heading to the quarter-finals of the competition
