Eryani: Houthi declaration of Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean a zone of military operations reveals its true nature
[01/08/2023 02:14]

Riyadh - Saba
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani said that the threats made by the leaders of the terrorist Houthi militia affiliated with Iran, to target shipping lines in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden, and to consider the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean as a zone of military operations, and threaten to test new weapons in the Yemeni islands, reveal its true nature as a terrorist militia who does not care about efforts and calls for calm, international laws and conventions.

He said that the coincidence of these statements made by Houthi leaders, including Mahdi Al-Mashat and Muhammad Nasser Al-Atifi, with the Iranian escalation against maritime security, reaffirms the Tehran regime's continued use of the Houthi militia as a dirty tool to destabilize security and stability, export chaos and terrorism to Yemen and the region, and threaten shipping lines and security.

Al-Eryani indicated that these statements confirm the credibility of the warnings issued early on that the Houthi militia, which is run from Tehran and is moving as a tool to implement its destructive policies, will continue to control parts of the Yemeni coastal strip, and its stationing in the ports of the city of Hodeidah, over the security and safety of international navigation and energy supplies.

Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations and the permanent members of the Security Council to declare a clear position on these statements, and to carry out their legal responsibilities in confronting the terrorist activities practiced by the Tehran regime and its Houthi tool, which threaten to blow up the chances of calm and exacerbate the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
