Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi has confirmed keenness of the council and the government on honoring state commitments to control exchange markets, goods supply and financing basic services with support from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
In his meeting with French Ambassador to Yemen Jan Marie Safa here on Wednesday, President al-Alimi discussed with him latest developments in Yemen and needed support to proceed with economic and service reforms and facing repercussions of Houthi militia's terrorist attacks on oil establishments and international maritime navigations lines.
He praised the role of Ambassador Safa in understanding Yemeni issue and the right of Yemeni people in building their modern state, which respects public rights and freedoms and believes in equal citizenship, as well as sharing all, including women and youth in making the future they want.
President al-Alimi praised Yemeni-French relations and Paris' position supporting the council and the government and recent efforts of giving facilitations to the Central Bank of Yemen in getting the second batch of private withdraw rights from International Monetary Fund.
