The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Yemen, Cuba discuss organizing environmental investment

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Sunday with First Deputy Minister of Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Anna Fragha means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries to overcome challenges facing environmental investments.

In the meeting, which has been held on the sidelines of his participation in the ministerial meeting of the Group 77 and China is being held here, al-Sharjabi confirmed significance of Cuban experience in making economic and investment vision including details and requirements of environmental investment projects.

He pointed out to necessary of increasing coordination level for increasing cooperation between the two countries and reactivating the joint committee to realize everything serving interests of the two friendly countries.

For her part, the Cuban official confirmed her country's position supporting realizing peace and ending the war in Yemen, expressing aspirations for expanding mutual cooperation between the two friendly countries in different fields.
