LONDON - SABA
Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik held discussions today, Thursday, here in London with the British Parliamentary Committee on Yemen headed by the Member of the Parliament Tim Lurton.
Dr. Ma'een provided brief presentation about the situations in Yemen and the obstacles facing the ongoing efforts to revive the political process, establish peace and stability, citing the humanitarian and economic challenges need to be managed.
He noted that the foremost obstruction to stop the conflict, move to dialogue to end the humanitarian suffering in Yemen is Houthi militia's intransigence.
" The Houthi militias have continued to act intransigently, blocking all regional and international efforts aiming to end the conflict, establish peace", said Ma'een.
He said that it is very important for the world to pay attention to the ultra-extremist ideology the Houthi militia has been promoting among the Yemeni society with the Iranian military, economic and diplomatic support.
The Prime Minister explained the humanitarian situation, underlining the need for mobilizing the international efforts to secure the required finances to increase the urgently needed humanitarian interventions.
