Minister of Defense (Lt Gen) Mohssen Ada'iri met today, Monday, here in the temporary capital Aden with the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin.

Yemeni-American cooperation and coordination about fighting terrorism was key focus of the discussions.

General Ada'iri detailed Mr. Fagin on the efforts to fight the terrorism and the remarkable progress realized in fighting the terrorist organizations in the government-held governorates.

The Minister praised the American navy's role in controlling smuggling, appreciating the U.S. support for the Yemeni armed and security forces in countering the terrorism.

The American Ambassador voiced his appreciation to the Yemeni military and security services' efforts and contribution toward fighting the terrorism.
