Al-Arada Inspects Construction Progress at Marib International Airport
Presidential Leadership Council member and Governor of Marib, Sultan al-Arada, conducted an inspection visit Saturday to the Marib International Airport project to review the level of progress and the ongoing construction works on the runway, terminals, and service and administrative buildings affiliated with the airport.

Water Minister, FAO discuss aspects of coordination

Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi and Director of the Office of the UN Organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO) in Aden Dr. Walid Saleh discussed today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden aspects of cooperation and coordination.

The discussions covered topics relating to the implementation of the projects in water and environment sectors, the Integrated Management of Water Project which is still under discussions with the donors to seek for the necessary finances, the procedures and steps need to be taken to carry out the project of livelihoods in the natural protected regions which is set to cover three natural protected areas: Socotra, Hoof and Ottoma with a total amount of $9 million funded by the Global Environment Facility.

The conversations also touched upon the project of Capacity Building about Climate Changes and Capacity Building of the two branches of the General Organization for Environment in the governorate of Hadramout and the Organization's branches in other governorate.

The total cost of the project is one million USD funded by the Royal Netherlands.
