The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. Leader al-Zubaidi Discusses Current Situation and Peace Efforts with EU Envoy

Member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, General Aydarus al-Zubaidi, held a virtual meeting with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Yemen, Gabriel Munuera Viñals.

The meeting discussed the current political, humanitarian, and economic situation in Yemen and the region, as well as the impact of regional developments on peace efforts.

General al-Zubaidi highlighted the challenges facing Yemen, including the economic crisis caused by the halt in oil and gas exports due to Houthi attacks.

He called on the European Union to support the government in resuming oil and gas exports to provide basic services, including electricity, and to stabilize the currency.

The EU envoy emphasized the importance of the Presidential Leadership Council's unity and support for the government's efforts to implement urgent reforms, reiterating the EU's commitment to supporting UN-led peace efforts in Yemen.
