President al-Alimi inaugurates Aden Public Hospital, launches package of Saudi funded projects

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, inaugurated today, Wednesday, Aden Public Hospital, Cardiology Center and the supplementary health clinics of the medical complex which designed to provide free medical services for more than 500 people per year in the temporary capital Aden and other governorates.

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Bahaibeh, Secretary General of Local Councils in Aden governorate Badr Moawin and Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for Development and Construction in Yemen Mohammed. al-Jaber and the Director of Aden Hospital Dr. Ahmed al-Jeferi received President al-Alimi at the project headquarters.

His Excellency expressed his pleasure to inaugurate this major medical facility, describing it as a new evidence of the Saudi brothers' support for the Yemeni people at this exceptional circumstances and the humanitarian crisis created by Iran-backed Houthi militias.

The President added: "We're confident that such promising projects will constitute a watershed in the basic services in the temporary capital Aden and other governorate like Aden Public Hospital which will offer free health service for some 500 thousand per year" .

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council voiced his great gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Program for Development and Construction in Yemen under the permanent supervision of His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed al-Jaber.

President al-Alimin pointed out to the development and humanitarian interventions the Saudi brothers are working on including educational and medical towns in Almahrah, Taiz, Hadramout and other governorates and other promising projects in the fields of energy, water distillation and above all finances and oil grants which became part of our major resources to keep millions of the peoples alive.
In addition to the Cardiology Center, the hospital includes departments of emergency, internal medicine, urinary tracts, women and childbirth, orthopedics, nose, ear, throat, eyes, x-rays, magnetic resonance imaging devices, medical analyzes, blood bank, general and specialized clinic, operating rooms and other departments equipped with the latest medical supplies.

On another development the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council along with Minister of Transport Dr. Abdussalam Humaid and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed al-Jaber also laid down the foundation stone for the third phase of the project for rehabilitating Aden International airport which is to be carried out by the Saudi Program for Development and Construction in Yemen.

After that President al-Alimi with the presence of the Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik and Ambassador Mohammed al-Jaber attended a celebration held to launch a package of Saudi funded projects within 229 initiatives and developmental projects all over Yemen.

Then, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council paid a visit to KSrelief Center Demining Project in Yemen (MASAM) which has been operating since 2018, removed hundreds of thousands landmines planted randomly by Houthi militiamen in different parts of Yemen.
