Yemen Supports Measures Taken by Kingdom of Bahrain to Confront Acts Threatening Its National Security
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has expressed the Republic of Yemen’s support and full endorsement of the measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to confront acts that undermine national security and aim to destabilize the security and stability of the brotherly Kingdom.

Planning Minister meets new Resident Representative of the UNDP in Yemen

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Bathib, met today, in the interim capital, Aden, with the new Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Yemen, Zeina Ali.

During the meeting which involved other officials from the UNDP and the planning ministry, they discussed plans for interventions and the required needs in a number of development sectors, and ways to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two sides towards the humanitarian situation in its economic and living dimensions and the process of development and peace.

The Minister of Planning welcomed the new representative of the United Nations Development Program, stressing the Ministry's readiness to provide all facilities to the UNDP and ensuring the success of the UNDP's tasks in Yemen, referring to the achievements made within the framework of the existing partnership between the government and the UNDP, and the extent of the program's contribution to mitigating the effects of the humanitarian crisis in the country.

He also stressed that addressing the repercussions of the humanitarian disaster requires focusing on implementing sustainable projects for sectors such as agriculture and fisheries and providing job opportunities that would contribute to achieving economic recovery, as well as the need to pay attention to projects of climate change and renewable energy within the priorities of the program plan for the current year.
