The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Buhaibeh, discussed today in the interim capital, Aden, with a team from the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), issues related to the health sector in a number of governorates.
Dr. Khaldoun Salih, Advisor to UNOPS Programs, briefed the Minister of Health on a number of interventions in a number of governorates and projects that have a developmental impact on the health sector.
He stressed the need to develop prospects for interventions and their distribution, taking into account the needs adopted by the Ministry of Health in accordance with its approved plan to build the health sector system on various levels.
The Minister of Health, along with the UNOPS team, visited the National Program for Drug Supply to see the needs required for intervention in the expansion and rehabilitation of the program's stores for medicines and various medical supplies.
