WB provides Yemen additional donation worth USD 150 million

WASHINGTON - SABA
The World Bank has agreed on providing Yemen with additional donation worth USD 150 million for the second phase of the response project in field of food security and survival in Yemen aiming at facing lack of food security and supporting Yemen's ability on survival.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb told Saba that the World Bank's acceptance of providing additional donation comes within continuous efforts exerted by the ministry in mobilizing resources and coordination with international donors.

He made it clear that the donation will help increasing grains production on local level through providing support to small farmers to enable them produce high quality grains able to endure climate change and help in expanding animal health projects aiming at increasing production and ability on survival before climate deviations.
