Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) Ahmed Ghalib met today, Monday, here in Aden with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin.
The discussions focused on the financial and economic developments Yemen has seen recently including the repercussions of the terrorist attacks on the seaports, oil facilities and tankers, the impacts upon the humanitarian situations in the country, the international community's efforts to support the Yemeni government to cope with these consequences.
Ghalib voiced appreciation for the USA, UK and IMF for their support for Yemen, easing procedures to withdraw part of Yemen's Special Withdraw Rights to be used for securing basic stuffs of food and medicines.
The CBY Governor also appreciated their support to the CBY to help building its capacities, bolster principles of transparency, governance, controlling money laundry and terrorism finances.
