Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi met Tuesday on the sidelines of COP27 hosted by Egypt here with Director of World Bank's Operations Axel van Trotsenburg.
The meeting touched upon interventions of the organization in developmental, service and humanitarian domains and means of making use of additional supplies to alleviate suffering of Yemeni people over Houthi terrorist militia's war on the people.
The meeting also touched upon other issues including efforts aiming at avoiding potential oil leak from Safir Oil Tanker.
President al-Alimi confirmed significance of partnership with World Bank Group, touching upon urgent challenges and needs, especially in fields of water and sanitation and social care, in addition to needed interventions to support economic and service reforms are being implemented by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in different fields.
In the meeting, Trotsenburg confirmed commitment of the World Bank in supporting Yemen and its government in different conditions, pointing out to size of planned supplies to service sectors and providing work opportunities, food security and social protection.
