President Dr. Rashad Mohamed Al -Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, discussed today, Wednesday, the developments of the Yemeni situation, and bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting touched on the developments related the Houthi terrorist militia's escalation, their threats to the security of the region and international navigation lines, the global energy supplies, and the efforts required to deter these threats.
The two presidents also reviewed the fields of cooperation between the two countries in light of the results of the recent visit of the President of the Presidential Council to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and ways to coordinate between the two sides to meet the common challenges.
At the meeting, the President of the Presidential Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al -Alimi, renewed the expression of his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the position of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the leadership, government and people within the Coalition for Support of Legitimacy, along with the Yemeni people, and their aspirations to end the coup of terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime.
For his part, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi affirmed the continuation of Egyptian support for Yemen and its people, its leadership and institutions, its unity and the safety of its lands, and all efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the country.
