The Chargé d'Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Yemen, Kazuhiro Higashi, denounced the Houthi terrorist militia's attack with drones on the Dabba oil seaport in Hadramout Governorate several days ago.
"The attack increases the risk of an escalation of conflict and human suffering in Yemen and threatens the peace process and stability in Yemen and the region," Kazuhiro said, stressing that Japan will continue to support the Yemeni people and efforts for peace and a ceasefire in Yemen.
He called on everyone, especially the Houthi militia, to listen to the voice of the people and the international community calling for peace, expressing regret that no agreement was reached to renew the truce in Yemen on October 2, despite the efforts that were made to do so.
