Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Eryani has said Iranian regime is not interested in appeasement efforts in Yemen and humanitarian suffering of Yemeni people, rather it is planning to impose its influence on the Peninsula and to control the coast line extend from Arab Sea to the Red Sea to control Bab al-Mandab strait.
He made it clear that Tehran Regime has made Yemen's geography under Houthi control a launching-bud to target neighboring countries, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and targeting trade ships on the Red Sea navigation lines, posing threat on energy security.
He pointed out that Houthi militia has escalated its terrorist attacks early 2022 and waged attack on March,20 targeted the station of distributing petroleum products for Aramco Company in Jeddah and Jaizan and in January, 17-24, they targeted the industrial area of al-Musaffah and Dhafra Hall in Abu Dhabi.
He added that this escalation was not restricted on civil establishments in neighboring countries. On January, 3, Houthi militia confessed that they abducted UAE ship Rawabi in international waters off Yemeni coasts and on March, the Saudi-led Coalition announced destroying 106 bombed boats were equipped to carry out terrorist attacks in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab.
Al-Eryani noted that this Houthi escalation coincided with Iran's increase of weapons and military technology to Houthis and US Marine seized 9000 weapon pieces in 2021, included rockets, while in their way to Houthis.
He confirmed that the increasing attacks revealed Houthi militia's weaponry capabilities and increasing range of their ballistic rockets and drones, which are installed and composed with the help or Iranian experts and Hezbollah.
