European Union expresses regret over militia's rejection to open Taiz roads
[19/07/2022 06:07]
BRUSSELS-SABA
The European Union has expressed strong regret over Houthi militia's rejection of last suggestion made by UN Envoy for Yemen regarding opening roads, mainly roads around Taiz.

" Reopening roads is crucial humanitarian element in the truce besides fuel shipments through Hodeida Port and commercial flights from and into Sana'a," said the union in a release issued Tuesday.

The EU argued Houthi militia to rethink and accept the UN envoy's suggestion, calling all parties to agree on additional extension of the truce for another six months after August,2.

The EU reaffirm its full support to peace efforts sponsored by the UN, which aim at ending conflict in Yemen.
